Nelson Receives Coaching Contract Extension

Welker Earns SEC Coach of the Year, Hu Specialist of the Year
COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri gymnastics head coach Shannon Welker has been named Southeastern Conference Coach of the Year, while redshirt senior Helen Hu (Chicago, Ill.) has earned SEC Event Specialist of the Year honors, the league office announced Wednesday. In addition, Hu and teammates Amari Celestine (Wildomar, Calif.), Jocelyn Moore (Hillsborough, N.J.) and Mara Titarsolej (Zutphen, Netherlands) were named to the All-SEC Team.

COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri track and field's Jonathan Seremes (Paris, France) has received votes for the third update of The Bowerman Watch List, the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Association announced on Thursday.The Bowerman Watch List, which was initially announced on Feb. 6, recognizes the top student-athletes in the sport and is given out annually to the most outstanding male and female collegiate track & field athletes in the nation. Seremes has received votes for the prestigious award in all three updates.

HOLLISTER, Mo.— Drury finished 12th at the Ozarks National Invitational, hosted by Missouri State at the Ozarks National Golf Course in Hollister, Missouri, on Wednesday. The Panthers had their best round of the event on the final day by 19 shots as they posted a team score of 311, the seventh best score in the third round, and finished the tournament 110-over par in the 54-hole event.
